Project GRIP document indicates that the disc was followed by the Interdictor for several minutes, managing to stay undetected due to its position between the disc and the sun. Only when the disc aburptly altered its course - and the shadow of the Interdictor fell across the leading edge of the disc - was the Interdictor detected. The disc quickly evaded the Interdictor after several high-speed maneuvers. The Project GRIP report specifies the disc's maximum detected speed to be 850 mph. 10/19/2005
